Cheese Plate- an aluminum plate with holes drilled in it
- used to mount cameras or monitors to different surfaces- (you don't always use a tripod)

dodge- lightens the pixels (area of photo)
burn- darkens the pixels (or area of photo)
Used in darkroom photography and photoshop.
Use these to:
1. improve the exposure of your photo and bring out detail
2. direct the viewer's attention using highlights and shadows
3. create impact with dramatic highlights and shadows
