Vocabulary:  tools of the trade:
Pancake- a 1/8 apple box- a piece of wood 1/8 the height of an apple box, used for propping, leveling, and much more.

apple box- a wooden box with holes cut in it as handles
-found in the grip dept.
-used for everything (to stand on to make an actor taller, to raise something, to prop something up, to sit on)

Cookie: A piece of wood with random shapes cut out of it.  It is held in front of a light to cast more interesting, dappled shadows- like you would get from light shining through a tree's leaves

Flag: A piece of fabric stretched on a metal frame.  Used to control light-
-protect the camera lens from flare, blocks liht that you don't want

Cutter: bigger or odd shaped flag

Flag with floppy: a flag with an extra piece of fabric sewn on one side.
